I haven't seen the inside of my barn since Sunday.  It's unfortunate (financially) that James has this winter layoff, but fortunate in that he has time to help me out with the farm work over this winter.  We'll have to purchase hay by mid February, the 250 bales that were delivered last August (?) is down to about 25 bales at the moment & the animals eat at least 2 bales a day, with a grain supplement, as they can't get through the snow to the field.  It's been terribly mild in the weather department over the last few days.  No Spring Lambs have been born as of yet.
